Description
The City of Menifee is soliciting bids for the Mapes Road Resurfacing Project from Sherman Road to Antelope Road (CIP No. 24-20). The work includes constructing 12 feet of full-depth asphalt pavement, grinding and overlaying two feet north of the existing road centerline, installing new signing and striping, traffic control, excavation, aggregate base, pavement markers, demolition and disposal, and related roadway improvements. Construction work hours are limited to 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless approved by the City Engineer. The estimated bid value is $770,625, with a 30-working-day construction period beginning no later than October 28, 2026. Bidders must hold a California Class A contractor's license and submit the required bid forms, subcontractor information, references, certifications, and bid security. A 10% bid bond or qualifying cashier's/certified check is required; payment and performance bonds are each required at 100% of the contract amount.
