Description
The Town of Babylon is soliciting sealed bids for improvements to Long Island Avenue between Straight Path (County Road 2) and Route 231 (Deer Park Avenue) in Deer Park, New York. Bids must be submitted intact and may be hand delivered or mailed to the designated purchasing office. The project is federally funded and subject to Federal Highway Administration and New York State Department of Transportation requirements, including prevailing wage requirements, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Buy America Act, and an approved New York State Department of Labor apprenticeship program for projects exceeding $250,000. Each proposal must include a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Babylon in the amount of 5% of the total bid comparison price. Minority- and women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate.
