Description
The Poarch Band of Creek Indians is soliciting sealed bids for construction of Jack Springs Road Contract 2 in Atmore, Alabama. The project is federally funded through the Federal Highway Administration's NSFLTP Grant Program and is subject to applicable federal highway requirements, Buy America provisions, Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and Title VI nondiscrimination requirements. The project estimate is $5,750,000. Each bid must include either a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or a bid bond for 5% of the bid amount, capped at $10,000, payable to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. The contractor must self-perform at least 30% of the total contract cost. MBE/DBE participation is encouraged without a specific goal, and Indian preference applies to qualifying Indian-owned economic enterprises whose responsive bids are within 10% of the lowest responsive bid.
