Description
The City of Tampa is soliciting a contractor with a permitted waste tire facility to accept and dispose of passenger vehicle tires without rims, passenger vehicle tires with rims, and truck and oversized tires. Services include accepting tires delivered by or on behalf of the City, processing or legally disposing of them at an FDEP-approved facility, providing required weighing documentation, and maintaining facility availability during specified operating hours. The facility must be within a 50-mile radius of the City's McKay Bay Transfer Stations and must hold the licenses and permits required under Florida Rules 62-701 and 62-711. Bidders must demonstrate sufficient capacity, provide compliance documentation, and submit a statement of intent to dispose of waste tires. The contract has a three-year initial term, with one optional two-year renewal period and up to three additional 30-day unilateral extensions.
