Description
The City of Seattle is seeking a pool of qualified vendors to manage diverse nonhazardous waste streams on an as-needed basis. The scope includes receiving, sorting, processing, treating, beneficially reusing, landfilling, or otherwise disposing of street maintenance debris, hydroexcavation waste, contaminated rubble, unimpacted and impacted soils, organics, treated wood, sewer solids and liquids, oily water, and drinking water treatment residuals. Vendors may provide receiving facilities, containers, transportation, pickup services, order-desk support, waste acceptance and rejection procedures, manifests or bills of lading, load receipts, and compliance with applicable environmental, safety, licensing, permitting, and transportation requirements. The City intends to establish a vendor pool and may make multiple or partial awards. The contract term is five years, with one optional two-year extension; utilization is not guaranteed. Bidders must submit pricing for at least one waste stream and identify applicable receiving facilities and management methods.
