REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TOWN OF GRIFFITH, INDIANA Disaster Debris Removal & Disposal Services and Disaster Debris Monitoring Services The Town Council of Griffith, Indiana is requesting proposals from experienced contractors for both disaster debris removal and disposal services and disaster debris monitoring services in order to recover from the recent August 2026 disaster and to respond to disaster events in the future. Companies desiring to provide services can access the Requests through the DFS Procurement Portal at dfs.bonfirehub.com. The Requests can alternatively be viewed at erassist.com/work. Proposal submissions are due no later than 9:00 AM CST on October 5, 2026, through the online DFS Procurement Portal. Questions regarding portal registration or submission shall be emailed to procurement@erassist.com. Questions regarding scope of work or specifications shall be submitted within the DFS Procurement Portal. Contract awards are anticipated to occur at the Town Council meeting on October 6, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Griffith Town Hall located at 111 North Broad Street, Griffith, Indiana. Description

The Town of Griffith is seeking a contractor to remove, classify, load, haul, reduce, and dispose of FEMA-eligible disaster debris from town-maintained rights-of-way following severe storms in August 2026, with capabilities for future disaster events. The scope includes vegetative and construction-and-demolition debris, hazardous limbs and eligible trees and stumps, debris reduction-site preparation and operation, grinding or chipping, burning when directed, final disposal, site restoration, traffic control, equipment certification, permitting, load-ticket management, and daily operational reporting. Work may involve limited-access areas such as parks and golf courses and requires low-ground-pressure equipment. The contractor must be able to begin after notice to proceed and complete the work within the specified incident-related performance period. The proposal must include a technical proposal addressing contractor capacity and experience, work plan, subcontractors, and references, along with online cost-table pricing and required confirmations and certifications. A bid bond or certified check of at least 5% of the contract amount is required at submission. Electronic files must be submitted as PDF through the designated procurement portal; a redacted copy is required if applicable. Performance bonding is required after award and before work begins, and insurance certificates and policies are required after award rather than with the proposal.
