The Hammond Redevelopment Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified developers for the purchase and redevelopment of an approximately 8.77-acre site located at 5454 Hohman Avenue in Hammond, Indiana. The site is zoned C-3 (Central Business District) and is intended for commercial, residential, mixed-use, or medical development. The Commission will sell the real estate at a minimum price of $4.00 per square foot, totaling $1,700,000. Proposals must include a statement of interest, vision, experience, financial capacity, and deliverables such as a statement of qualifications, organization chart, list of previous projects, proposed project budget and schedule, schematic design documents, and a 5% earnest money check. The Commission will evaluate proposals based on responsiveness, bid amount, experience, design quality, financial capacity, and other criteria. The successful bidder will enter into a development agreement and must close on the sale within 120 days of that agreement.
