Description
The Hammond Redevelopment Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified commercial developers for the purchase and redevelopment of a significant commercial property located at 5454 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, Indiana. The selected developer will be responsible for acquiring the property and executing a redevelopment vision that aligns with the Commission's goals for downtown development. Proposals must include a statement of interest, the bid amount (minimum $1,700,000), a vision for the site, and evidence of relevant experience. Deliverables include a statement of qualifications, organization chart, list of previous projects, proposed project budget and schedule, schematic design documents, and a 5% earnest money check. The property is being sold as part of a redevelopment initiative, and the Commission will retain all submitted materials. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Commission's regular meeting on October 6, 2026.
