Description
The City of East Chicago is soliciting sealed bids for the 2026 Phase I Board of Safety Demolition of Unsafe Structures. The work includes removal of 14 unsafe garage structures at specified properties throughout East Chicago, Indiana, including demolition at one property located in a Superfund area that must comply with special project procedures provided by Amereco Inc. Bidders must be licensed to perform demolition work in East Chicago. Contract documents may be examined at City Hall. The work will be funded through the City's Unsafe Building Funds, and the owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, or accept the bid deemed most favorable to the City's interests.
