Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting bids for comprehensive improvements to Durley Park under Specification No. PW 24-110. The work includes two picnic and barbecue areas; a new parking lot with stormwater treatment; a basketball court with LED lighting; renovation of four baseball fields; a walking track with LED lighting; park-wide security lighting and lighting at existing basketball courts; irrigation-system upgrades with water-conserving components and a new controller; a public restroom; exercise equipment; and a new skatepark and pump track. The project also includes demolition, grading, concrete and asphalt paving, accessible ramps and stairs, fencing, landscaping, irrigation, stormwater conveyance and underground detention, bioretention and modular wetland systems, electrical distribution, and athletic-field lighting. The contract duration is 200 working days following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must hold a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor's License, be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and self-perform at least 50 percent of the contract work, excluding designated specialty items. A 10 percent bid security is required by the bid deadline; the successful bidder must provide 100 percent payment and performance bonds and required insurance after award. The bid must be submitted electronically through the PlanetBids portal, while bid security must be mailed or delivered to the City Clerk's Office by the deadline.
