Description
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, on behalf of the Long Island Developmental Disabilities State Operations Office, seeks contractors to clean and maintain roof gutters and downspouts at community sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Services include removing debris, flushing gutters and downspouts, clearing clogs, securing loose components, replacing worn brackets, hangers, pins, fasteners, seals, and damaged screens or guards, and removing debris from the work areas. Each site must be serviced three times per contract year, in April, September, and November, during weekday business hours. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, hardware, and equipment; provide service and evaluation reports with before-and-after photographs; comply with applicable codes, OSHA requirements, prevailing-wage requirements, and New York State Department of Labor registration requirements; and maintain required insurance. Bidders must submit pricing by region, may bid on one or more of eight regions, and may receive multiple awards. The anticipated contract term is five years, with a stated contract start date of March 25, 2027, subject to change. Subcontracting is not permitted, and appropriate Nassau and/or Suffolk County home-improvement licenses are required upon award. The solicitation requires a signed Addendum 1 with the bid or within three business days of OPWDD's request; the addendum corrects several site-listing details.
