Description
The New York State School for the Deaf is seeking a contractor to replace 25 three-phase electrical panels. The work includes demolition of existing panels; installation of GE AQ-type panels with breakers; reuse and reconnection of existing feeders and branch circuits; associated brick repair; and field verification of incomplete equipment information before procurement. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and corrective work necessary for a complete, code-compliant electrical distribution system. The scope also includes installation verification, pre-energization inspection, electrical testing, infrared thermographic scanning, functional testing and commissioning, code and safety compliance documentation, preventative maintenance before turnover, closeout documentation, onsite owner training, and final acceptance. Required closeout materials include testing and commissioning reports, ground-resistance and torque-verification records, infrared scan reports, arc-flash and coordination-study reports, warranties, operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, final panel schedules, and recommended spare-parts lists. Prevailing wage applies, and the contractor must include field verification in its bid without treating it as grounds for a change order.
