Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is planning a construction solicitation for the replacement of boiler and generator exhaust infrastructure at the Rome Community Based Outpatient Center. The work includes providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision; demolishing two existing boiler exhaust stacks, one generator steam relief stack, and the existing concrete/masonry chimney structure; sealing the existing roof; and constructing and installing two new steel boiler exhaust stacks, a steel support structure, and one steel generator exhaust pipe. The procurement is a 100% small-business set-aside under NAICS 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors. The estimated construction value is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A bid bond will be required once the solicitation is released. The notice states that specifications, drawings, proposal information, and contract forms are expected to become available electronically on or about October 30, 2026, and that proposals and correspondence will be submitted by email.
