Description

The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to renovate the H8 Laboratory in Building 3 at the Rome Research Site. The scope includes clean rooms and support spaces, structural and general construction, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, lighting controls, laboratory exhaust, roofing, interior finishes, and related demolition and site work. The project drawings identify Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanroom areas, laboratory equipment spaces, hazardous-material storage, new electrical distribution and UPS equipment, wet-pipe sprinklers, HVAC controls, and associated testing and commissioning requirements. The anticipated performance period is 365 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation is a total small-business set-aside. Offers must include the completed Price Schedule, information addressing price and past performance evaluation factors, required representations and certifications, and past-performance information for no more than five contracts completed within the past five years, including project descriptions, contract numbers if available, prime/subcontractor status, performance periods, and customer contact information. The solicitation requires performance and payment bonds within 14 calendar days after award and requires CMMC Level 1 (Self) status before award for systems processing, storing, or transmitting Federal Contract Information or Controlled Unclassified Information.
