Description
The U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contractor to renovate Suite H8 in Building 3 at the Rome Research Site. The scope includes clean rooms and support spaces, structural and general construction, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, lighting controls, laboratory exhaust, roofing, interior finishes, metal wall panels, and related demolition and site work. The project includes Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanroom areas, laboratory equipment spaces, hazardous-material storage, new electrical distribution and UPS equipment, wet-pipe sprinklers, HVAC controls, stainless-steel cleanroom components, and associated testing and commissioning requirements. Amendment 0003 extends the offer deadline to November 2, 2026. Updated Q&A, drawings, and specifications clarify and revise elements of the work, including hazardous-gas storage and exhaust, electrical distribution, and piping materials. Payment and performance bonds are required from the awardee at 100% of the contract price; a bid bond is not required with the quote. The acquisition remains a total small-business set-aside. Offers must include the provided Price Schedule, information addressing the price and past-performance evaluation factors, required representations and certifications, and past-performance information for no more than five contracts completed within the past five years. All amendments must be acknowledged. Past performance is significantly more important than price in the evaluation. CMMC Level 1 (Self) status is required before award for systems processing, storing, or transmitting Federal Contract Information or Controlled Unclassified Information.
