Description
The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision is soliciting licensed pharmacies to provide controlled, legend, generic, brand-name, and over-the-counter medications to incarcerated individuals at correctional facilities throughout New York State. The resulting standby contracts will be used when the statewide individual-prescription contract cannot supply a required prescription. Bidders may submit offers for one or more of eight geographic facility lots and must be able to serve every facility within each selected lot. Bidders must provide discounts from Wholesale Acquisition Cost for generic, brand-name, and over-the-counter medications, with an optional dispensing fee for prescription medications. Requirements include pharmacy licensure and registration with the New York State Board of Pharmacy and the Drug Enforcement Administration, electronic prescribing-system integration, ability to provide oral buprenorphine and alternate packaging such as blister packs or unit doses, secure and compliant handling of protected health information, and delivery generally by the following day or within 36 hours depending on order timing. The contract term is two years with three optional one-year renewals, for a potential total term of five years. Subcontractors may not be proposed.
