Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Islands Ecosystems Research Center, requires laboratory-based genome sequencing services. This includes DNA and RNA extraction, sequencing library preparation, sequencing using PacBio Revio and Illumina platforms, quality assurance checks, and electronic delivery of data and technical documentation. The contractor will receive up to 5 grams of flash-frozen seagrass leaf tissue from the USGS and must be capable of performing high-molecular-weight genomic DNA extraction, high-quality RNA extraction, preparation of HiFi, Arima Hi-C, and Iso-Seq libraries, sequencing, and quality assurance checks. The contractor must also notify the USGS if sample material is insufficient, degraded, contaminated, or otherwise unsuitable. All final sequence outputs and a technical narrative detailing any issues, limitations, or deviations must be delivered electronically.
