Description
The Department of Water Resources (DWR), Division of Safety of Dams (DSOD), is seeking a qualified technical expert to provide hydrologic engineering services. This role will serve as a member of a technical review board tasked with a comprehensive review of DSOD's internal hydrologic engineering procedures supporting the California Dam Safety Program. The board will independently review and provide recommendations on DSOD's Hydrology Manual, proposed policies, methodologies, and engineering practices related to dam safety and performance. The selected expert will participate in board meetings, collaborate with other board members and DSOD staff, review provided documents, contribute to deliberations, and assist in preparing draft and final reports. The services may involve virtual kick-off meetings, document review, research, an in-person meeting in Sacramento, and the development of a draft and final report. The estimated contract duration is three years, with the option for two one-year amendments.
