Description
The National Park Service, Point Reyes National Seashore, requires laboratory water testing services for its park water systems. The contractor will be responsible for providing personnel, materials, equipment, and services to perform various water analyses on samples collected by government personnel. This includes tests for coliform, iron/manganese, nitrate, nitrite, quantitative bacteriological exams, disinfection by-products, gross alpha, asbestos, primary organics, secondary standards, MBTE, atrazine, simazine, lead/copper, and 1,2,3-trichloropropane. The contractor must be certified by the State of California's Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) and EPA-certified for drinking water testing. The contract includes a base year and four option years, with a total potential duration of five years. The contractor will pick up samples from the park, provide necessary sample bottles and labeling, and report results electronically or via hard copy within two weeks of test completion. In case of a positive coliform sample, immediate notification to government personnel is required. The contractor must also submit results via Electronic Data Transfer to the state's system.
