Description
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office is soliciting proposals from qualified providers to furnish on-call forensic pathology services. These services will be crucial in determining the cause and manner of death for cases falling under the Coroner's jurisdiction, in accordance with California law. The scope of work includes performing medicolegal autopsies and external examinations, reviewing investigative reports and medical records, consulting with Coroner personnel and other authorized entities, and providing expert witness testimony. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis, requiring timely, professional, and competent performance. The selected consultant(s) must maintain all necessary licenses, certifications, and insurance throughout the agreement term. Proposals must meet minimum qualifications, including current California medical licensure and Board Certification in Forensic Pathology. The evaluation will consider experience and qualifications, technical approach, quality of the proposal, references, availability, responsiveness, and cost. The contract will be awarded based on these criteria, and selected proposers will enter into an agreement with the County.
