Description
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Silicon Audio for the purchase of two 203-60 replacement borehole accelerometers. These sensors are critical for maintaining the continuous, reliable monitoring of seismic activity essential for understanding geologic carbon capture and sequestration projects. The existing network relies on Silicon Audio sensors, and replacements must be identical to ensure compatibility and consistent performance. Failure to procure these specific sensors would result in significant downtime for critical seismic monitoring stations.
