Description
The West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (WSAFCA) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering services for the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Closure Structure project. The project aims to address a height deficiency in the levee along the Sacramento River at the UPRR window, located directly across and beneath the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and bridge. The scope includes developing an alternatives analysis, conducting geotechnical investigations, performing hydrology and hydraulic analysis, coordinating with railroad stakeholders, and completing a 10% conceptual design. Key tasks include project management, review of furnished data, engineering geology and geotechnical services, environmental engineering, hydrology and hydraulic analysis, railroad coordination, environmental planning, alternatives analysis, and conceptual design. The contract may include optional tasks for supplemental survey and geotechnical drilling. The period of performance is up to 585 calendar days from notice to proceed, with a potential total contract term of up to 5 years.
