Description
The University of Oregon seeks a particle filter solution to retrofit an existing 11,000-gallon aquaculture system. The contractor must provide equipment and personnel; integrate the solution with the existing system; provide an initial layout; furnish and install piping, valves, fittings, backflow preventers, and related accessories; perform flushing, cleaning, and testing; coordinate activities to protect animal health and welfare; provide training; and deliver complete equipment and materials documentation. The proposed solution must be compatible with the existing fiberglass tank, drum-filter connections, specified flow rate and water-quality conditions, salt exposure, 480V three-phase electrical service, and existing Allen-Bradley PLC controls. It must be self-cleaning, use FKM or equivalent seals and gaskets, and meet the stated dimensional and operational requirements. Drum filtration and redundancy, such as dual filters, are preferred. Proposals must include technical and business information, references, an itemized budget, build sheet and product literature, space and utility requirements, warranties, installation and delivery information, training, maintenance and service plans, replacement-parts availability, delivery terms, and sustainability information.
