Description
The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority is soliciting a single-prime contractor for construction of a new exterior, accessible passenger elevator serving all building levels at its downtown transit hub. The work includes a hydraulic elevator system, elevator shaft and pit, foundations, concrete and masonry construction, structural steel and cold-formed framing, insulated roof and wall panels, waterproofing, doors and glazing, interior finishes, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and communications work, accessibility features, testing, commissioning, training, and project closeout. The project also includes demolition and removal of an exterior loading area and related existing construction, temporary protection and traffic/pedestrian controls, utility coordination, prevailing-wage labor, Buy America/Build America compliance certifications, and required non-collusion and lobbying certifications. The bid documents identify a 3,000-pound, 150-fpm, holeless hydraulic passenger elevator with three front openings and a 48-inch pit, subject to the contract drawings and specifications.
