Description
Monroe County is soliciting contractors to provide turnkey snow removal and de-icing services at eleven county properties and designated sections of the Monroe Loop Trail. The scope includes labor, materials, equipment, supervision, snow and ice removal, salting, and related services for parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, walking paths, curbs, steps, catch basin collars, and trail surfaces. Contractors may submit pricing for one or more of three site groups, and the County may award one contract for all sites or separate contracts by group. Services are scheduled to begin with the first snowfall of the 2026–2027 winter season. The initial term is three years, with up to three successive one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Contractors must provide equipment and personnel capable of meeting specified weekday, weekend, holiday, and 24/7 operating schedules, including rapid-response service with as little as two hours' notice. The Monroe Loop Trail has separate requirements, including no salt or de-icing materials, use of qualifying equipment, and removal after snow events when accumulation reaches two inches. A completed Proposal Form and equipment list are required, along with qualifications demonstrating at least five years of similar experience and service coverage for at least 50% of the area under consideration.
