Description
The City of Toledo Fire and Rescue is soliciting a lump-sum bid for bathroom and locker-room renovations at Fire Stations 5, 7, 11, 16, and 23, plus the EMS Annex. The work includes demolition and disposal; new countertops, sinks, faucets, drains, toilets, urinals, flush valves, showers, partitions, accessories, lighting, exhaust fans, ceilings, flooring, wall base, painting, and related plumbing and electrical work. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, cleanup, testing, warranties, and manufacturer information. Licensed asbestos abatement is required if asbestos-containing pipe insulation is encountered. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, living-wage requirements, and applicable City of Toledo construction compliance requirements. A project labor agreement may apply, and the successful bidder must comply with the agreement and related requirements when applicable. The contract documents state a 12-week project duration, a $450-per-day liquidated-damages amount, and a Notice to Proceed issued within 10 days of contract award; work must commence within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed, reach substantial completion within 90 days, and reach final completion within 30 days thereafter.
