Description
Replace six existing interior escalators in their entirety with six new commercial escalators, including removal and disposal of the existing units, manufacture and delivery of replacements, installation, testing, commissioning, and coordination with related trades. The work also includes associated demolition and finish restoration, electrical power and lighting work, fire-protection adjustments, temporary construction partitions for dust and noise control, and other building modifications needed to complete the installation. The escalator contractor must provide 12 months of protective maintenance after final acceptance, including emergency callback service, and the equipment is subject to a two-year warranty. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is a prerequisite to bidding. The bid requires a bid form and bid security equal to at least 10% of the bid amount plus additive alternates; performance and payment bonds are required from the successful bidder after award.
