Description
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority seeks qualified, prequalified professional engineering firms to provide construction supervision for two roadway resurfacing projects. Services include full-time construction inspection, resident engineering, materials testing coordination and review, quality and cost control, schedule monitoring, change-order support, meeting coordination, progress reporting, and preparation of as-built records. The work covers pavement removal and warm-mix asphalt resurfacing on mainline roadways, ramps, shoulders, toll plazas, U-turns, and related areas. The Authority intends to select one firm for each assignment; firms must submit an Expression of Interest for both projects. The EOI is limited to 17 pages, subject to specified exceptions, and is evaluated on experience, staffing, project understanding, approach, availability, quality management, and SBE/DVOB participation. Fee proposals will be requested later from the top-ranked firms. The solicitation states estimated construction costs of $20 million and $24 million, respectively; these are construction contract estimates, not the professional-services award amounts.
