Description
Yakima County is soliciting a turnkey prime contractor to modernize four passenger elevators at various county facilities: two 2,500-pound traction elevators operating at 350 feet per minute, one 2,500-pound basement traction elevator operating at 200 feet per minute, and one 4,000-pound hydraulic elevator operating at 150 feet per minute. The work includes design, engineering, permits, equipment, materials, installation, related electrical, mechanical, fire/life-safety, structural, and building work, testing, commissioning, code compliance, and project coordination. The contractor must identify and manage qualified electrical, mechanical, and fire/life-safety subcontractors while remaining responsible for the complete turnkey scope. The proposal must include base modernization pricing, interim maintenance during the project, twelve months of guarantee maintenance after final acceptance, and long-term full-coverage maintenance pricing. The scope includes elevator controls, machines, doors, fixtures, emergency communications, two-way visual communication, accessibility features, safety systems, wiring, finishes, testing, training, manuals, spare parts, and related documentation. The solicitation also requires a project schedule, experience with similar installations, references, a project team, approach, cost estimate, equipment selections, and applicable alternates. A performance bond and payment bond, insurance, prevailing-wage compliance, and sealed duplicate submissions are required.
