Description
Madison County is soliciting a contractor to provide a complete modernization of the existing passenger elevator at its facility. The scope includes a new microprocessor-based controller, variable-frequency drive as applicable, inspection or replacement of the machine and motor, door equipment, car operating panel, hall stations, position indicators, fire-service interface, emergency communication system, electrical and hoistway equipment, safety equipment, machine-room and pit improvements, accessibility upgrades, and emergency-power interfaces where applicable. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, engineering, permits, inspections, testing, disposal, training, operating and maintenance manuals, warranty support, and coordination needed for a complete operational installation. Proposals must identify existing conditions, project duration, anticipated elevator outage, equipment manufacturers, and pricing for specified alternates, including machine/motor replacement, door equipment replacement, traveling cable replacement, emergency communication, accessibility upgrades, and a five-year preventive maintenance agreement. The work is subject to New York prevailing-wage requirements and must be completed by July 1, 2027.
