Description
St. Louis County is seeking a contractor to provide a turnkey modernization of one existing hydraulic passenger elevator at the Justice Center. The work includes a new microprocessor controller, power unit, door equipment, call stations, operating panels, signals, wiring, lighting, security and communication interfaces, ADA-related features, painting, cleaning, and associated electrical, HVAC, structural, fire-life-safety, and security work. Existing components are to be retained or refurbished where specified, while other equipment is to be replaced with new, non-proprietary equipment. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, permits, inspections, coordination, testing, shop drawings, samples, and final acceptance support. The project requires work in secured areas with escorted crews, prevailing-wage compliance, OSHA training, payment and performance bonds at 100% of the bid amount, and substantial completion six months after notice to proceed followed by final completion four weeks later. The agreement is expected to last 10 months and includes one year of full-service warranty maintenance after final acceptance.
