Description
The University of New Mexico is requesting proposals for Phase 2 structural repairs to the Ford Building North cooling tower. The work includes concrete demolition and repair, reinforcement replacement, crack repair, shoring, scaffolding, GFRP/FRP wet-layup strengthening, epoxy systems, protective coatings, cleanup, and possible removal and reinstallation of electrical EMT conduits in coordination with university staff. Work must follow the project plans, specifications, university standards, and applicable state and local regulations, and must be completed no later than May 30, 2027. Proposers must be qualified contractors with prior experience performing FRP-wrapped concrete repairs. The FRP work must be performed by certified applicators with manufacturer training and at least three years of FRP retrofit experience. Proposals will be evaluated on management and technical capabilities, general-contractor and subcontractor past performance, and cost. A major electrical subcontractor's qualifications and past performance must also be included where applicable. The solicitation requires submission of a management and technical capabilities response, general-contractor past-performance response, subcontractor past-performance response, cost proposal, applicable preference-certification materials, the Supplier Conflict of Interest and Debarment and Suspension Certification Form, and the Submittal Form.
