Description
The University of New Mexico Hospital is seeking a qualified insurance carrier to provide individual stop-loss coverage for its self-funded health plan. The scope includes deductible options of $525,000, $550,000, $600,000, and $1,000,000; coverage for medical and pharmacy claims; eligibility and benefit-design terms that mirror the plan document; and claims run-in from the previous carrier. Offerors may propose paid, 36/12, and/or 24/12 contract structures. Proposals should address proprietary-network claims administration, reimbursement procedures, no-new-laser and renewal options, firm pricing, claims reporting, account management, self-billing, and timely reimbursement. The carrier must have a minimum AM Best rating of A-. The evaluation weights organizational experience and stability at 20 points, technical approach at 30 points, and cost at 50 points.
