Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capable contractors for annual inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and related reporting for the medical gas distribution system at the Loma Linda VA Health Care System. The scope covers medical gas sources, compressors, vacuum pumps, manifolds, master and area alarm panels, zone valve boxes, patient outlets and inlets, bulk oxygen systems, emergency oxygen supply connection boxes, medical gas booms and columns, oxygen particulate analysis, and medical air dewpoint analysis across the main hospital and Buildings 30, 31, and 32. Work must comply with NFPA 99, OSHA requirements, ASSE 6000, ASSE 6020, and ASSE 6030 standards. Qualified personnel must include licensed ASSE 6020 medical gas inspectors and ASSE 6030 medical gas verifiers; the offeror must also possess a 30-hour OSHA safety card. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, tools, supplies, supervision, personal protective equipment, lockout/tagout coordination, and detailed preventive-maintenance reports with equipment photographs within 14 days after completion. The planned structure is a base period plus four option periods, with work scheduled as operational requirements permit.
