Legal Notice # 21945573 Sealed responses will be received by the Purchasing Division of the Town of North Hempstead, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York 11030, on the 9th of October 2026 up to 11:00AM at which time they will be publicly opened and read for: TNH294-2026- Marine Equipment Repair Services Repair, Servicing, Maintenance and New Parts Request for Bids may be downloaded from the Town website at https://www.northhempsteadny.gov/Bid or picked up at Town Hall between the hours of 9:00am and 4:45 pm Monday through Friday, after the 21st of September 2026. Description
The Town of North Hempstead is seeking qualified contractors to provide maintenance, repair, servicing, and new parts installation for the Town's marine equipment, including boats and personal watercraft. The scope includes routine maintenance, repairs, winterizing, emergency services, removal and disposal of work-related materials, dockside diagnostics, and mobile response in the Manhasset Bay and Hempstead Bay/Harbor areas. Routine maintenance must be completed within 48 hours; emergency repair response must be available within four hours, and non-emergency work must begin within one week. The contractor must provide labor, tools, equipment, and materials, use new parts or certified equivalents, and provide receipts and certified cost documentation for parts and equipment. Subcontracting requires prior Town approval. This is a requirements contract with no guaranteed minimum purchases or service requests. Pricing is based on estimated annual maintenance visits and labor hours, plus a 15% markup on certified parts and equipment costs, a 10% markup on approved subcontractor invoices, and a 10% markup on approved equipment rentals. The initial term is two years from award, with two additional one-year renewal options and a possible extension of up to 90 days.
