Description
Gulf County is prequalifying certified or registered building, residential, and general contractors for a 10-lot workforce housing project along Knowles Avenue in Port St. Joe. Interested contractors must submit an application and plans for both two-bedroom and three-bedroom home options, with total floor areas ranging from 1,150 to 1,450 square feet. Pricing must be provided per square foot and as a total, and must be turnkey, including site preparation, permitting, kitchen appliances, and basic landscaping. The county will provide the lots as-is, and lot recipients will receive a list of qualified contractors and plan options for selection. Construction contracts will be between the lot recipient and the qualified contractor, subject to the recipient securing funding and closing on the lot and construction loan simultaneously. All contractors and subcontractors must be licensed in Florida, Gulf County, and the City of Port St. Joe. The application requires business, licensing, insurance, business-history, subcontractor, employee, performance-disclosure, and reference information, including four complete customer references. Pricing options must remain valid for one year.
