The Florida Department of Health, Environmental Health program in Osceola County, intends to enter into a single-source contract with IDEXX Distribution Inc. for an IDEXX Tecta Automation Technology instrument, model TECTA B16, 115V (TECTAB16A). The system must be a fully automated desktop microbiological water-testing system approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and capable of producing laboratory-grade results on site for potable and non-potable water testing. The purchase includes the instrument, supplies, installation, training, and a service plan including calibration. The intended purchase price is $45,187.35. The notice states that IDEXX is the exclusive manufacturer and seller of the specified instrument and associated installation, training, and service plan.
