Description
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is soliciting competitive bids for repairs and improvements to the Connor Complex Laboratory Corridor. The base bid includes construction labor, materials, equipment, permits, supervision, demolition, new flooring and wall base, expansion-joint repairs and covers, concrete and masonry repairs, wall and metal-panel work, painting, crawl-space ventilation improvements, and associated mechanical and electrical work. Alternates include replacement of 61 insulated storefront glazing units; repair, sealing, and coating of concrete porch benches and rails; and unit pricing for up to 144 additional insulated storefront glazing units. The contractor must provide proof of an active general contractor license, at least three similar completed projects within the past five years, a subcontractor list if applicable, required certifications, and the specified bid forms. Construction must reach substantial completion within 150 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 calendar days for project closeout. A one-year warranty is required, along with applicable performance and labor-and-material payment bonds and insurance.
