The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services intends to enter into a single-source agreement with Drone Amplified, Inc. for upgrades and modifications to existing Florida Forest Service drone equipment. The purchase includes four Pilot Pro Controller Solo (Herelink) units, four strobe upgrade packages, and labor to integrate the controllers onto the drones. The equipment is intended to support fire management, prescribed fire, and natural resource management. The agency states that the configurations are proprietary and specifically engineered for its existing MONTIS avalanche mitigation and IGNIS aerial ignition systems; Drone Amplified designs, assembles, and configures the equipment in-house and is the only company authorized to install, calibrate, and warranty it on the existing airframes. The approximate contract amount is $54,780.
