Description
The University of Colorado Boulder Utilities Department seeks a qualified engineering firm to provide architectural, engineering, and consulting services for installation of a fourth 1,650-ton chiller (CH-4) and future programming for CH-5 at the East District Energy Plant. The scope includes developing the controls narrative, sequence of operations, system integration specifications, and drawings using the existing Rockwell Automation PlantPAx distributed control system. The selected firm must also provide detailed drawings and specifications for an additional cooling tower, chilled-water pump, condenser-water pump, condenser-water and chilled-water header expansions, and expansion of the existing 4,160-volt switchgear. Services include a full condenser-water model, a complete bid set, design coordination, cost and schedule control, code compliance, commissioning support, record documentation, training, and turnover materials. The estimated project cost is $4,000,000. Respondents must demonstrate at least two similar projects exceeding $4,000,000 in hard costs, attend the mandatory pre-submittal meeting, and submit qualifications for a two-step qualification and oral-interview selection process.
