Description
The City of Oxnard is soliciting a contractor to furnish and install a complete modernization of four existing two-floor hydraulic passenger elevators at the Oxnard Main Library, Oxnard Police Department, and Del Norte Regional Recycling & Transfer Station. Work includes demolition, surface preparation, new microprocessor controllers, traveling cables and wiring, safety devices, cab and landing equipment, door operators and detectors, hydraulic tanks, pumps and valves, ADA signage and Braille, machine-room remediation, inspections, testing, and commissioning. The work must comply with applicable ASME, ADA, California DIR, and other regulatory requirements. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, permits, and incidental work. A valid California Class C-11 Elevator Contractor's License and DIR registration are required. The project has a 200-working-day completion period after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with a $250-per-calendar-day liquidated-damages assessment for late completion. Each elevator is anticipated to be out of service for approximately 15 working days, and only one Main Library elevator may be out of service at a time. The successful bidder must provide 100% payment and performance bonds, required insurance, and closeout documentation including as-built drawings, testing certifications, warranties, and operation and maintenance manuals.
