Waldron Area Schools is soliciting bids for medical benefit plans for all employees, effective July 1, 2016. The current plan is MESSA $500-0% with Saver Rx. Multiple plan options are being considered from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM), Blue Care Network (BCN), Priority Health, and MESSA. Plan types include Simply Blue HSA PPO, Community Blue PPO, BCN HMO, BCN HSA HMO, Priority Health POS, and Priority Health PPO, with various deductible levels and copay structures. The district has 20 employees (6 single, 5 two-person, 9 family). The total annual current cost is $392,354. Estimated annual costs for proposed options range from $244,211 to $439,815, with potential savings up to $148,144. Rates include applicable federal and state taxes and fees.
