Description
This Sources Sought/RFI gathers industry capability information for the Air Force’s prospective Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standards (SCARS) program; it is for planning purposes, not a request for proposals or a commitment to award a contract. The anticipated work includes operating a 24/7 security operations center; remote vulnerability assessment, authorization, patching, and cybersecurity compliance; maintaining software and data libraries; virtualization and deployment support; network integration; model-based systems engineering and architecture standards governance; and logistics, installation, integration, testing, and sustainment of on-premise equipment supporting simulator systems worldwide. Respondents are asked to describe relevant capabilities, experience, and approaches across program management and transition, enterprise systems and networks, cybersecurity, systems engineering, equipment fielding and sustainment, and logistics. Responses are limited to 12 pages total, must be submitted electronically in Word or PDF, and should follow the specified file-naming convention. The prospective contract is described as having a four-year base period, six one-year options, and an optional six-month extension; these plans are notional and subject to change.
