Description
Montgomery County seeks an armored-car contractor to provide scheduled and on-call pickup, secure transportation, and delivery of cash, checks, securities, and other deposits for participating County departments. Services include daily pickups at specified department locations, delivery to designated financial institutions or other receiving locations, optional pickups from third-party smart safes, deposit tracking and receipts, and coordination of service changes. The contractor must provide armed, uniformed, licensed guards and properly armored vehicles, and meet specified insurance and security requirements. The initial contract term is three years, with up to two additional one-year extensions. Proposals must include an itemized price by department and pickup location, disclosure of all fees and surcharges, company and vehicle information, service and transition details, at least three comparable-service references from the past three years, and sample invoices. A $15,000 performance bond is required upon award.
