Description
Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive sealed bids for an annual contract covering the purchase, installation, repair, replacement, and maintenance of fences and vehicular and pedestrian gates at various County facilities. The scope includes galvanized and vinyl-coated chain-link fencing, wood, aluminum, PVC, pasture, playground, barrier, concertina, and barbed-wire fencing, as well as gate systems and related access-control mechanisms. The contractor must provide labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, demolition and disposal, emergency services, welding, painting, preventative maintenance, and related incidentals. Work generally must begin within 10 business days and be completed within 30 days of a purchase order; emergency safety requests must be completed the same day. The contract has a five-year term consisting of the initial term plus four 12-month renewal options. Bidders must submit the completed bid schedule, references, subcontractor list, Code of Ethics affidavit, and Contractor Affidavit and Agreement, with required insurance coverage and at least three similar-project references.
