Description
Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive sealed bids for an annual contract covering assessment, preventive maintenance, repair, replacement, installation, testing, and commissioning of compressors and associated ancillary equipment. The scope includes reciprocating, oil-flooded rotary, and oil-free rotary compressors; dryer units; electrical panels and controls; air receivers; compressed-air pipework; motors; pumps; valves; instrumentation; and related components from multiple manufacturers. Work will be performed on a time-and-materials basis, with labor rates and parts or equipment markups submitted on the bid schedule. Replacement equipment may include new compressors or dryers, with removal and disposal of existing equipment and connection to existing utilities as applicable. The contractor must provide qualified technicians, routine and emergency response, estimates for work exceeding $500 or not completed during the initial visit, and all required labor, tools, transportation, materials, testing, commissioning, and safety equipment. The bid package requires the Bid Schedule, references, subcontractor list, Code of Ethics Affidavit, and Contractor Affidavit and Agreement. The contract begins upon Board of Commissioners approval and includes four additional 12-month renewal periods.
