Description
This Invitation for Bids covers the design, permitting, and construction of the Zone 4 Phase A Landfill Gas Collection and Control System header at Prima Deshecha Landfill. The work includes trenching; installation of new HDPE gas header, compressed-air, and dual-contained condensate-forcemain piping; valves, tees, reducers, sumps, vaults, and other appurtenances; tie-ins to existing landfill gas infrastructure; road crossings; backfilling; testing; traffic control; and restoration of disturbed gravel and asphalt areas. Bidders must be pre-qualified and hold a California Class A General Engineering Contractor's license. The project requires at least three similar projects completed within the previous five years, a minimum of 51% self-performance of the base bid, and compliance with prevailing-wage, public-works registration, safety, environmental, and landfill-operations requirements. The estimated contract amount is $9,120,900. A 10% bid security is required with the bid; the successful contractor must later provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance.
