Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting bids for structural, waterproofing, and operational rehabilitation repairs at five Town Center parking garages: Green, Red, Blue, Orange, and Maroon. The work includes concrete spall, delamination, crack, stair tread, CMU, brick facade, steel connection, flange connection, barrier cable, joint sealant, and expansion-joint repairs; traffic coatings; silane sealing; drainage and plumbing improvements; storm-drain and pipe work; and related waterproofing repairs. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, services, testing, temporary shoring, traffic and pedestrian controls, protection of occupied facilities, phasing plans, and coordination required for the work. The bid pricing page uses estimated unit quantities, with payment based on approved in-place quantities. The project manual requires relevant contractor experience, references, project-manager and superintendent resumes, a Virginia contractor license, insurance, and applicable bid, performance, and payment security. The contractor should plan for substantial completion of the repairs within 150 calendar days from notice to proceed, although the project documents reference a 260-calendar-day duration and allow flexibility for garage operations, events, and weather.
