Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting bids for a multi-award, annual renewable indefinite-quantity construction contract for various minor new construction. The scope includes sidewalks, curbs and gutters, asphalt paving and milling, concrete entrances, multi-use paths, ADA improvements, roadway reconstruction, turn lanes, traffic control, pavement markings, traffic signals, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater best management practices, drainage pipes and structures, manholes, water mains, sanitary sewer lines, utility adjustments, retaining walls, fencing, landscaping, and related demolition and restoration. The initial term is one year, with up to three optional one-year renewals by mutual agreement. Work will be issued through work orders using the schedule of unit prices, and the City may award to one or more vendors. Bidders must submit all unit prices, acknowledge addenda, provide the required bid proposal and certifications, and comply with the City's Small Business Enhancement Program when subcontracting. A bid bond of 5% is required for bids exceeding $500,000; successful bidders must provide $2,000,000 performance and payment bonds.
