Description
Virginia Beach Public Library is seeking proposals for mobile data service for its library bookmobiles. The service must provide reliable Internet connectivity along regular routes and destinations throughout the Virginia Beach area, support 10 staff and patron devices per bookmobile, work with the applicant's existing IR1700 dual-carrier Wi-Fi router with automatic switching, and include a coverage map. The requested solution must include a secure web-based management and reporting portal, the ability to restrict or control connected devices, CIPA-compliant filtering with applicant-adjustable settings, and 24/7/365 support. Proposals must identify all monthly recurring and non-recurring charges, estimated taxes and surcharges, service-provider terms and conditions, the provider's SPIN, and pricing for 12-, 24-, and 36-month contracted-service options when applicable. Service is needed beginning July 1, 2027; month-to-month and contracted offers will be considered, with two optional 12-month extensions for contracts and no-penalty early termination required for contracts.
