Description
The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting multiple contractors for an annual renewable indefinite-quantity construction contract covering various minor public-works projects. The scope includes roadway and drainage construction; stormwater management structures; concrete, curb, gutter, sidewalk, entrance, retaining-wall, and pavement work; water and sanitary sewer facilities; erosion and sediment controls; demolition; traffic maintenance; traffic signals; signs; pavement markings; landscaping; and mowing. Work will be issued through work orders using the schedule of unit prices, and the City may award one or more vendors at its discretion. Bidders must provide pricing for the listed unit items and comply with the project manual, including permitting, traffic control, environmental and stormwater requirements, licensing, insurance, bonding, subcontracting, and small-business participation provisions. The contract has a one-year initial term with three optional one-year renewals. A bid bond is required for bids exceeding $500,000, and successful bidders must provide $2,000,000 performance and payment bonds.
